You are invited to spend time in our Reliquarium, a place of prayer and reflection, seeking the intercessory help of the holy men and women whose lives earned them the designation of sainthood. Being in the presence of these relics, we have an opportunity to develop our relationship with the saints and to seek their intercession with our Lord for a specific need. May your time in quiet, peaceful veneration bring many blessings in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Relics date back to the very early days of the Church. There are varying classes of relics, with first class relics being the physical remains of a saint or a holy person who has not yet been officially canonized. Instead of actual remains, it might also be an article of clothing, a place or even instruments connected to a martyr's torture or imprisonment. Second class relics are objects touched by or to the saint's body, or used by the saint. As we venerate the relics, we recall the holiness of the saint as well as his/her participation in the work of God as we seek His grace to live lives filled with faith.
